Wandering along the colorful streets and canals in the sunshine, licking my lemon gelato, I felt like I was living in the perfect moment. 

It was the day after my college graduation, and I was on my way across the sea for a two-week adventure in Ireland. I wasn’t just chasing adventure; I was chasing myself.

In the past three months, London has never stopped surprising me — and I’ve surprised myself by becoming a part of it.

My three-day jaunt to Italy was a gorgeous, romantic vision colored by over-exposure to Italian films — but the imperfect, mishap-riddled reality was much sweeter.

Never in my life have I experienced such beauty and wonder as I found in the rise and fall of the Scottish Highlands. 

A breather from the city can be a welcome respite, and a glimpse of the mysterious beauty of the countryside was just what I needed.

In the center of the whirlwind city of London, there is a 350-acre patch of semi-tamed wilderness, and its name is Hyde Park.

Sometimes, when I'm standing in an empty underground platform waiting for the rush of the next train, I like to remember that twenty-nine years ago, my father was in the exact same place.
